Michael Madjar, Dr. sc. tech. ETH

Michael Madjar is Chief Operating Officer and member of the Executive Board of Swiss ALP Asset Management GmbH.

From 2007 until January 2015, Michael Madjar was employed by aicons AG and conducted quantitative analysis on hedge funds, and since March 2012, he led the middle/back office activities for Swiss ALP Asset Management AG (the predecessor of Swiss ALP Asset Management GmbH). Since 2006, Michael Madjar has been employed by the Corporate Governance Agency Switzerland, from 2010 until 2014 as CEO. During the period 2008-2011, he headed a research project in the area Corporate Governance and economic performance at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland. Since 1998, Michael Madjar is lead auditor for quality management systems and conducts on a mandate basis certifications in this area.

Michael Madjar holds a graduate degree in mechanical engineering from the ETH Zurich and holds a doctoral degree from the ETH Zurich (thesis in the area „Risk Analysis in the Chemical Industry“). He further holds a diploma in quality management (Qualicon) and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Finance from the Universities of Basel and Zurich.
